Care Teams at Marine View are facilitated by Marine View’s Deacons. Deacons serve in leadership with the purpose of encouraging a culture of care within the Marine View congregation, mobilizing the congregation to care for one another those in need in the surrounding community.
Marine View is committed to living out faith in Jesus Christ in a real way in a real world by being actively involved both in our local community and around the world. Going deeper with Jesus leads to a desire and ability to reach out to those around us with God’s love. Marine View is making a difference by reaching wider and sharing God’s love in our community and around the world in numerous ways.
Hearts & Hands meets together twice a month to craft quilts and other requested items for donation to local ministries and organizations such as Olive Crest, Brookdale Federal Way, and Living Grace.
Marine View's Guatemala mission team serves Maya villagers in a remote and impoverished region of the country by providing families with wood stoves, water filters, reading glasses and school supplies in partnership with the Everett-based Hands for Peacemaking Foundation. The stoves, manufactured at the foundation's Aller Skills Center in Guatemala, replace open fires in village homes to improve respiratory conditions, especially among women and children. Teams spend four days in each village, where they continually interact with the community while making a lasting difference.
Here is a video showing the work that the team does in Guatemala.
Here are just a few of the amazing organizations Marine View partners with as we reach wider with Christ’s love in our local community and around the world.
